BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
PUBLIC NOTICE
A public hearing and meeting will be held before and by the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Incorporated Village of Mill Neck, Nassau County, New York, at the Village Hall, 32 Frost Mill Road in the Village on September 23, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
The hearing will be on the application of Jiansheng Zhao, owners of a parcel of land located at 146 Roger Canoe Hollow Road in the Village, designated as Section 29 Block L Lots 100-102 on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map, in the Village=s R‑2 (3-acre) Zoning District.
The Appellants seek a variance to maintain an existing detached garage with accessory dwelling unit above, which will require the following variances:
- To maintain the accessory dwelling unit in the accessory building located within the minimum required rear yard;
- To allow an existing open porch to have a rear yard setback of 44.45 feet rather than the required 50 feet;
- To allow the existing stone steps to have a rear yard setback of 40.17 feet rather than the required 50 feet;
- To allow the existing air conditioning condenser units to have a rear yard setback of 49.73 feet rather than the required 50 feet.
The above application is on file at the office of the Village Clerk located at 32 Frost Mill Road between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the time of the hearing.
All interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard at said time and place.
