Dear Mill Neck Residents,
We have been advised by Nassau County that the Bayville Bridge will be closed for its second and final road closure beginning on Monday February 26th at 7:00am. It is anticipated that this will last for thirty-five days concluding on Monday April 1st. During this time, all motorists should use the specifically marked detour routes to navigate around this closure.
Chief Lack of the Brookville Police Department has coordinated with the fire departments, Nassau County Second Police Precinct, and the Emergency Ambulance Bureau to ensure that Mill Neck Estates, Creek Lane, Seaview Drive and West Shore Road get timely responses to all emergencies.
The Brookville Police Department will continue to monitor our roads for speeding during this closure as we expect to see a substantial increase in traffic. Please drive safely and be extra vigilant when exiting driveways on the detour routes.
I am sure all of you join me in looking forward to the conclusion of this project. While West Shore Road is scheduled for reopening on April 1st, the completed project is expected to conclude June 11th.
